Spaghetti

Start to finish: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound wheat spaghetti
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 squirt Sriracha sauce or similar

Instructions

Thaw hamburger, if needed. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and sauté the peppers, onions and garlic until aromatic. Remove vegetables to a bowl.

Reduce heat to medium and brown the meat in the pan. Drain off the fat. Reduce heat to low. Stir in spaghetti sauce, vegetables, brown sugar and Sriracha sauce. Let simmer 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, in a pot, boil water with a pinch of garlic salt. Add spaghetti and cook until a noodle thrown against the wall sticks, around 7 minutes. Remove to large serving bowl.
